District 8 Superhero 5K

San Antonio Sports Fit Family Challenge presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas is excited to partner with District 8 Councilman Manny Pelaez to host the District 8 Superhero 5K on Saturday, August 10 at UTSA. Walkers and runners are all welcome, as well as strollers. 1,200 chip timed bibs will be available. The start/finish line will be in the East Campus parking lot on UTSA’s main campus.

Event t-shirts will be limited and will be provided at packet pick up on a first come, first served basis.

Thursday, August 8

Location: Academy Sports + Outdoors Vance Jackson location

                    2643 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78230

Time: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm 

Participants who visit Academy Sports + Outdoors for packet pick up on Thursday are eligible to enter for a chance to win a $25 Academy gift card! Drawings will be held at the packet pick up table at 11:30am and 4:30pm - must be present to win, one entry per person, restrictions apply. In addition, a coupon for 20% off your entire Academy purchase will be available to participants who pick up their packet at this location.

Restrictions: Gift Card winner must present ticket stub that matches winning ticket. Gift Card must be used in store for fitness and/or running (athletic) apparel, footwear, hosiery, sunblock, sunglasses, or fitness equipment. Winner must be willing to post photo with winning gift card to Social Media and "check-in" to Academy store
